EXCLUSIVE: Mario Movie Bowser’s heartfelt ode to “Peaches” has its own single on vinyl

IGN can exclusively reveal that iam8bit will not only sell physical vinyl records, CDs and even cassettes with the soundtrack to The Super Mario Bros. movie, but will also produce a special 7″ single vinyl record featuring Bowser’s “Peaches” -Song can be heard on the A-side and the classic “Mario Bros. Rap” on the B-side.

While the digital soundtrack for The Super Mario Bros. movie will be available tomorrow, April 7th, these physical versions will ship in Q3 2023, complete with all 36 tracks created from a collaboration between Nintendo composer Koji Kondo and composer Brian Tyler of Fast & Furious series, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Crazy Rich Asians fame.

The aforementioned special 7-inch vinyl single featuring Bowser’s “Peaches” and “Mario Bros. Rap” is $12.99. The 2xLP vinyl, on the other hand, includes the entire soundtrack, a “gorgeous gatefold jacket designed by Scott Saslow that features art direct from the outstanding team at Illumination” and “fancy record sleeves patterned with the well-known Super Mario Bros. icon.”

The vinyl album costs $42.99 and is pressed in red and green. iam8bit will also be selling a special pink and yellow colorway for those who want something different.

The CD, which retails for $19.99, contains the full soundtrack on two discs in a “premium four panel package”.

Finally, the cartridge costs $19.99 and will randomly be either Mario Red or Luigi Green.

All of these physical versions are available for pre-order at iam8bit.com and are expected to start shipping again in Q3 2023.

In our review of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, we said it’s “a fireball of animated fantasy that transcends a Paper Mario-thin storyline with undeniable charm and energy.”
